When my bought my Flip UltraHd camcorder, I was ecstatic that it featured Hdmi output. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that this was the lesser known Mini Hdmi cable jack. Not wanting to spend as much on a cable as what I did on the camcorder itself, I scoured the internet to try to search a good cheap Mini Hdmi cable. What I ended up with was the Tripp Lite Mini Hdmi to Hdmi cable and a pocket full of saved cash.
The Tripp Lite Mini Hdmi to Hdmi Cable allows you to associate digital cameras, camcorders, and other digital devices with mini-Hdmi connectors to an Hdtv. This cable is Hdmi 1.3 compliant, which increases the current Hdmi standard's bandwidth from 165 Mhz, or about 4.95 gigabits per second, to 340 Mhz, or about 10.2 gigabits per second. This is to ensure that you get a consistent, clean signal. 24k gold-plated connectors ensure an error free signal transfer.

When I received the cable I was excited to give it a try. All I had to do was take the plastic protective covers off the ends and plug them in to their corresponding jacks. I switched the input on my Tv to Hdmi and there it was! Full screen High Definition video in 720p! I was very impressed with the capability and resolution of the video.
I have not run into any major issues with the cable as of yet. The third time that I used it, I noticed some static in the sound quality. Fortunately this was due to my own error. Upon rechecking all of the connections, I had not fully plugged in one end of the cable. The cable is 6 feet long which is suitable for good all nearby use and is not so cumbersome that I can't pack it up and take it with me on trips. The build capability is good for a cable this cheap.
I was a dinky leary to buy a Mini Hdmi cable at a price that seemed too good to be true, but it has worked out just fine. I doubt those other 50 dollar cables would give me a better photograph than this.
